SLURRY SHIELD MACHINE
This type of machine is appropriate for various types of ground, as slurry is fed to the cutter chamber, and the characteristics of slurry and the slurry pressure are used
to provide resistance against the earth pressure and water pressure applied to the entire face in order to achieve stability of the face.
Excavation is performed while performing fluid transportation of the excavated muck with the circulated slurry.
1.Cutter bit
This is a part for cutting ground. It is necessary for the appropriate shapes and materials for the ground conditions to be selected.
2. Cutter drive unit
This unit consists of motors and a gear in order to rotate the cutter head.
3. Articulation cylinder
This is a device that provides support for curve negotiation by making an angle at the joint between some bodies of shield machine.
4. Feeding slurry pipe
This is a device for feeding slurry into the chamber.
5. Discharging　slurry pipe
This is a device for discharging the ground taken in the chamber by using slurry flow.
6. Erector
This is a device for erecting the segment by gripping the piece and bringing it to the erecting position. Multiple actuators are equipped in order to rotate and move forwards/backwards and in the radial direction.
7. Rear scaffold
This is a scaffold for worker to stand on in order to erect the segment.
8. Segment reforming device
This is a piece of equipment to maintain the roundness of the erected segment by extending it from inner side.
9. Tail seal
This is a device that prevents the intrusion of ground water and soil into the machine by sealing the gap between the shield machine and segment.
10. Thrust cylinder
This is a device to propel the shield machine by obtaining the reaction force from the segment erected by erector.
11. Cutter chamber
This is a room in order to keep ground excavated by the cutter head.
12. Cutter head
This is a device equipped with a cuter bit and excavates ground. Generally, a spoke type is applied in order to efficiently take the ground in.
